Locations

General sessions will be held in the lecture hall on the first floor of the APS conference center, Bldg. 402. Vendor exhibits will be in the center's lower level, and the reception/poster session will be held in the experiment hall. Workshop locations are listed on the Comprehensive Program and posted at the registration desk. Maps of the APS site and conference center are included in the meeting packet.

Meals

The conference fee includes coffee breaks on Tuesday through Thursday and the poster session reception on Tuesday afternoon. Buffet lunches will be served Tuesday through Thursday in the tent on the lower-level conference center patio. If you pre-ordered lunches on your registration form, you will receive your tickets when you receive your meeting materials. (A limited number of extra lunch tickets are available for purchase at the registration desk.) The conference banquet will be held Wednesday, April 30, at the APS. Tickets are available for purchase. The Argonne Cafeteria and Argonne Guest House restaurant are both open for lunch; the Argonne Guest House restaurant is also open for dinner. A list of restaurants in the local area is included in the meeting packet.

Telephone, Messages, and Computer Access

Pay telephones are located in the atrium of Bldg. 401 (the APS central laboratory/office building) and on the lower level of Bldg. 402 (the APS conference center). Messages for you can be left at the registration desk; the telephone numbers there are 630/252-9580 and 630/252-9581. The messages will be posted on a bulletin board by the entrance to the lecture hall. If you need to send or receive a fax, a fax machine is located in Bldg. 401, B1154 (the APS User Office). The number of this machine is 630/252-9250. Computer terminals are set up in the Bldg. 401 atrium for you to use to log on to your home computer.

Transportation

Limousine reservations can be made for you during the meeting by conference staff.

Miscellaneous Information

An automated teller machine is located in the User Lounge area of Bldg. 401. This machine accepts the following cards: American Express, Discover/Novus, The Exchange, Master Card, Plus, Visa, and 24 Access.
