Difference in transverse momentum acceptance plots for the same lattice file

Post by ranamonikaa » 16 Mar 2023, 08:35

Hi Michael
I am getting different momentum acceptance plots for the same lattice file. The only difference in the two lattice files is that have used rf at two places (highlighted in green) in one lattice file (giving the expected momentum acceptance plot) and just once in the other lattice file (deltaPositive plot is different in this case) . I feel using it just once should give the correct plot. Can you please tell me why this difference is there. I have attached lte and ele files and the plots for your reference.
Thank you.

Here are the plots for the two cases.

I think the problem is that you didn't change the voltage on the cavities in the two-cavity run. The voltage needs to be half as much per cavity when you have two of them.

Yes then it gives the same plot. Thanks :)
