matching phase advance

Post by ding » 19 Oct 2011, 15:55

Hello,

I am learning to use Elegant to do beta matching. One of the requirements are phase advance between two elements, from a transverse cavity to a screen. I asked the phase advance of pi/2. I added the floor_coordinates but still complain unknown tokens. I attached the two files, .ele and .lte file.

Can you help point out the problem in the setup?

thanks,
Yuantao

it looks the problem is how to define the phase advance between two elements. The psix is not included in the MARK element?

thanks,
Yuantao

Yuantao,

Try nux and nuy, instead of psix and psiy. Sorry about the confusion.

It's probably obvious but nux=psix/(2*pi).

thank you Michael. I should have thought about using nux instead.
