Dear Dr. Borland,
I have one question. I employed octupoles in the lattice of ILSF and optimized it to find the DA. Then, I considered the errors in finding the DA in a real lattice. I found this:
I try something to increase the DA in the presence of errors. For example, reducing errors and ... but as I know, the value of errors is constant. So, is there any way to increase the DA in lattice with errors?
I did loco and beta beating correction in the AT. The results are as follows:
One more point: I should say DA is from -22 to 11.5 in elegant for the ideal lattice, but it is reduced to -17.5 to 11.5 in AT. So, I made corrections to that ideal lattice, not the one in ELEGANT.
Could you please help me to increase the DA in lattice with errors in ELEGANT?
Thank you in advance and lookforward to hearing from you.
Best Regards

Re: DA in the presence of errors
If you look in the examples file under PAR/daOpt, you'll find an example of DA optimization. You can include errors in the run if you want to optimize with errors (always a good idea).

Re: DA in the presence of errors
Thank you a lot for your helpful comment.
I used daopt in PAR and optimized the DA in the bare lattice and the lattice with octupoles.
Best regards
