bug in RCOL and ECOL

Post by michael_borland » 16 Dec 2008, 09:26

A bug was reported in the RCOL element by S. DiMitri and M. Cornacchia. This will affect versions 19.1 and earlier.

The problem is as follows: if X_MAX=0 and Y_MAX=0, the element should act as a drift space with the given length L. However, it instead acts as a zero-length element. The same problem exists in the ECOL element.

To workaround the bug, set X_MAX and Y_MAX to a large, non-zero value, e.g., 1e100.
