a minus sign difference in ZImag of csrImpedance

Post by jcytsai » 05 Apr 2015, 20:46

Dear all,

I am not sure if I misunderstand some information.
When I try to use "csrImpedance" to produce shielding CSR impedance with parallel-plate model, I found the imaginary part of the generated results have a minus-sign difference compared with the analytical expression (where I think ELEGANT uses Eq.(A1)-(A3) of Agoh, http://journals.aps.org/prstab/pdf/10.1 ... B.7.054403).

Is this just a bug or a different definition used in ELEGANT?

Thanks!
Cheng-Ying

Cheng-Ying,

That's related to a different convention in elegant. In many articles, the time coordinate for particle i is <t>-t(i), whereas in elegant, we just use t(i).
