Modelling a Transverse Gradient Undulator

Post by robles » 19 Sep 2018, 13:46

Hello all,

I would like to implement a transverse gradient undulator in my Elegant simulations without having to generate a field map each time I change a parameter. Is there a way to do this by modifying an existing element source code (for example, the Laser Modulator) to add this element to the regular list? Thank you!

River,

The LSRMDLTR and CWIGGLER elements in Version 35.0.1 (just released) support TGUs.

There are some caveats regarding trajectory and dispersion matching. These are described in the manual .
