Hi all,

Can I define the overlapping elements like a solenoid (Quadrupole/steering) winded around an accelerating structure in lattice file?

Elegant doesn't support overlapping of elements. For linac+solenoid simulation, one can however use the TWLA element. It's slower than RFCA, so only use it when needed.

For overlapping quads/correctors with a linac, I divide the linac up into cells and put thin-lens elements between the cells. The cells for a given linac structure should be given the same value of PHASE_REFERENCE to ensure that they are properly phased relative to one another.
