Dear all,
In an electron bunch created by means of "bunched beam", is it possible to introduce a correlation between particle longitudinal positions (t) and particle vertical positions (y), and a correlation between particle longitudinal positions (t) and particle vertical divergences (yp)?
Thank for your attention.
Best Regards,

Re: Correlation between t and y,yp
Luca,
You could insert an EMATRIX (Explicit MATRIX) element at the beginning of the beamline with nonzero R35 or R45 elements.

Re: Correlation between t and y,yp
Dear Michael,
Thank you for suggestion of the element EMATRIX. I have the bunch in terms of the parameters needed by "bunched beam". Does it exist an automatic way with ELEGANT to transform the same bunch in terms of parameters needed by EMATRIX (and then I can add the correlations <y t> and <y' t>)?
I have another question: Does it exist in ELEGANT a command similar to vary_element for varying in loop the parameters of the bunch (e.g. Twiss parameters, central momentum, etc. )?
