Hello,
I am computing R56 for a transfer line using Elegant (without CSR) and the result obtained is -0.539m for a particular optics. For same optics MAD8 provides R56=0.30m. Sign is anyway different due to MAD conventions (-ct). The electron beam energy is 300MeV, so beta (relativistic) can not bring such change. MAD results are matched with MATLAB AT toolbox (and roughly with hand calculations). I am not able to detect, what is going wrong? I am looking the R56 from Elegant in the .fin file. For reference, I am attaching the .lte and .ele files here.
Thanks and regards,
Amalendu Sharma.

Re: Results not matching with MAD
Amalendu,
The dispersion and beta functions appear to be mismatched in your system (see attached). I'd guess there is a problem with translation of the quadrupole settings or perhaps the FINT/HGAP parameters on the dipoles. An element-by-element comparison of the twiss parameters may help resolve this.

Re: Results not matching with MAD
Thanks Michael!!!
In conversion from MAD to Elegant, the edge effects were not converted correctly by me in file for rectangular bends.... Now results are matching....
Regards,
Amalendu.
