Dear Sir,
In LSRMDLTR section, i am trying different laser position along z0 (bunch length). But i do not see the effect of laser position on current profile (after chicane). any suggestion?
I am curious to know whether the laser position is (0,0,0) bydefault in the code?
truly yours
kumar

Re: Laser Offset position
Kumar,
The default values for the laser position are indeed (0, 0, 0). These are listed in the LSRMDLTR table.
The LASER_Z0 parameter moves the laser waist position relative to the center of the undulator. I tested it just now and it works as expected.
I suggest looking at the momentum distribution, not the current profile. Unless the effect on the momentum distribution is very large, the current profile may be unchanged.
Also, if LASER_Z0 is small compared to the Rayleigh range, there won't be much change.
