multipole fields input

I have been using RFDF element to implement a deflecting RF kick in my simulation. Now I want to add some multipole RF fields from dipole to octopole, but in RFDF element only sextupole input seems to be available. Should I use MRFDF instead of B2 in RFDF? Or what element is the best for implementing multipole RF fields?

Thanks

MRFDF is definitely the way to go if you want higher multipoles.

Thank you for the advice. Related to that, I have another question. When I implement a transverse kick with multipoles into ELEGANT. I tried two methods. One is to use MRFDF with dipole to decapole coefficients. The other is to use RFDF for dipole kick and also use MRFDF for higher multipoles (with dipole coefficients zero). Resulting beam dynamics looks different even on x-direction. Which one should I trust?

Gunn Tae,

I'm surprised that these two methods give different results. Can you post some files that show the problem?

Thanks.
