Why are particle lost in "TAPERAPE"

Post by Cai_Meng » 28 Jul 2020, 03:28

Hi Michael,

When i use "TAPERAPE" as the aperture element, it's not clear why the particle lost in "TAPERAPE". Attached the files. Could you check and give some suggestion? Thank you!

Best regards,
Cai

Cai,

The problem is this TAPERAPC element

Code: Select all

BS1TPR4: TAPERAPC, L=0.07500000,RSTART=0.03150000,REND=0.03150000,STICKY=1
There's a bug in the code that causes all particles to be lost when RSTART=REND. You can work around this by replacing the TAPERAPC with an ECOL, or changing RSTART to be slightly different from REND.

I'll fix the bug in the next release. Thanks for reporting the problem.
