Toggling "ALLOW_LONG_BEAM" In RFCW element?

Post by Zamank » 14 Apr 2017, 12:43

Hi,

I was wondering if there was some way to toggle off the warning "ALLOW_LONG_BEAM" for the RFCW elements? I read in the manual that it seems like only the "WAKE" elements have this feature.

I am running very large scans of parameters, and it much easier to allow the parameters to vary within these "unphysical results...beam is longer than wake" regime than you restrict the range of the scan to exclude these data points (also Pelegant crashes everytime this is encountered, halting the scan).

Thank you!

Unfortunately, there's no way to turn off the warnings. I suggest finding out why the bunch is longer than the wake function. You can also extend the wake function artificially, or use the CLEAN element to clean up outlying particles.

Ah! Very clever, I extended the wake file artificially as you suggested.

Thank you for your help! Makes for an eventful weekend!
