Can elegant be used at 5Mev

Post by CCH » 08 Sep 2010, 03:15

Dear Borland and everyone,
I'm trying to design a ERL-TF ,in which the electron is accelerated from 5Mev up to 70Mev.Can I use elegant do the tracking simulation? Somebody told me it's results were invalid under 100Mev.
Thank you!

For single-particle dynamics, elegant is good at all beam energies. The CSR algorithm (CSRCSBEND and CSRDRIFT) will overestimate the CSR effect below about 15 MeV.
