How does Elegant use input file for FTRFMODE?

Hello Michael,

How does Elegant use Shunt Impedance, frequency and Q-factor to calculate the voltage and phasor?

Here's how I prepare the data.
I have a spreadsheet of data containing kick factor, frequency and Q-factor.

I calculate Shunt Impedance based on formula above, and then save Shunt Impedance, frequency and Q-factor into a SDDS data using csv2sdds.

Is this the right way to prepare input file for FTRFMODE?
I have also sent you my Elegant files through email separately.

Wei-hou,

Yes, that sounds right. We usually get the data from an eigenmode solver that gives the quantities needed directly.
