Mike,
I would like to use the Mapsolenoid element to track through a solenoid. The format is the SDDS file is unclear to me. It looks like 4 columns Bz, Br, z and r. The thing that confuses me is "Each page should have values for fixed r". Is there an example of how to use this element? Thanks.

Michael,
Thanks. Now I'm trying to get that file to work and I get "****Error: determineMatrix called for element that is not supported! ***Seek professional help!"
Attached are my files..... Just tracking through Solenoid.sdds do see that I can get everything else correct....
This is not the first time I've been told to get professional help!

Re: MapSolenoid
Ray,
Yes, it turns out there is a bug. I don't see a workaround for it. If you are using 64 bit linux or build from source, I can give you a patch. Otherwise, it will take a little while to roll one out.
