Re: intrabeam scattering with IBSCATTER
Dear all, The attached file is the result of particle tracking with IBSCATTER and SREFFECTS(COUPLING=0.01),the emittance of y direction is not growing so much! If using the ibsEmittance command, the final emittance_y/emittance_x will be equal with the coupling factor.Should I add some tilt bends or q...

intrabeam scattering with IBSCATTER
Dear all, I intend to track the electron bunch in storage ring with IBSCATTER element to simulate the IBS effect. I want to know that:How to bring in coupling(emit_y/emit_x) in the lattice ?I found the element SREFFECTS has a Parameter Name:COUPLING if I set the COUPLING=0.01,is it that during the p...

Re: Gas Scattering lifetime
Dear Michael,
I'm sorry,I write the column name wrong,it‘s not deltaLost column ,but the delta column. I used the delta column data to get the picture!

Re: Gas Scattering lifetime
Dear Michael,
if I set the s_end = 56.683333334200107,when I only track one cell,I get the deltaLost VS. LMA is well.

Re: Gas Scattering lifetime
Dear Michael, I run the example files that you upload I got the deltaLost and LMA file,I plot the LMA and deltaLost in a picture, they matched well. But I run the my files, the deltaLost and LMA didn't match so well, there are some small datas I got, shown in the picture.I think the min(abs(deltaLost))w...

Gas Scattering lifetime
Hi Michael: In the Version 33.1.1 of ELEGANT,the elastic_scattering command was added.I used this command to get the elastic scattering lifttime.I have two questions about the command: 1.I add the MARK in different coordinates and different types element, the lifetimes I got are different so much? 2....

Re: touschek_scatter
Dear Aimin, Thank you very much for your reply. It helps me alot. For every macor particle, the 'LRate' represents the particle loss per second per meter, and 'TRate' means the particle loss per second in the section between TScatter(i-1) to TScatter(i). And 'TRate' has considered the bunch frequenc...

Re: touschek_scatter
Dear all, I am using touschek_scatter Elegant command to get the beam loss rate and location from touschek scattering. But, I am not sure the meaning of results. Does anybady knows the relationship of TRate and LRate in the .los and .bun files. 'NScatter' is the sum of TRate in the corresponding fil...

Re: Host connection error when running via Matlab on Win 10
Hi, I find a solution to this error: Windows mpiexec default path:C/Program Files/Microsoft MPI/Bin/mpiexec.exe while another mpiexec.exe file in: C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2017a\bin\win64\mpiexec.exe When we call the command mpiexec in Matlab, the matlab default calling the mpiexec: C:\Program Files\...
