Re: Installation
Dear all, I am not able to download softwares (e.g., Elegant and SDDSToolkit, self-installing Windows packages) from the AOP page, https://www1.aps.anl.gov/Accelerator-Operations-Physics/Software since approximately one week. I tried from several networks, the problem seems to be related to the webp...

Re: Undulator kick map
Well, I updated Elegant very recently, this is the version:
This is elegant 33.0.3, Mar 9 2017
I assume you run Elegant with the kickmap "EU4.8_g19_pc_w48.ukm" first, and "EU4.8_cir_gmin_test2.dat" then.
No idea....thank you anyway.

Hello everybody, I would like to calculate amplifications factors in the Elettra2.0 ring, but I receive the error message: "Terminated by SIGSEGVProgram trace-back:" Clearly I am doing something wrong, but I could not figure out what. My files are in attachment. Thank you in advance for help, Simone...

More on IBS
Dear Michael and all, I am using IBSCATTER for a high brightness beam at the fixed energy of 130 MeV, and the beam is recirculating one or few turns into a small ring with no RF elements. I wonder whether I shall use ISRING=1 or ISRING=0. For my better understanding: does that option take into accou...

Re: emittance measurement quad scan question
Dear Michael and all, after reading the previous posts, I am still confused about the meaning of variables. In particular, I am simulating a single quad-scan (no dispersion) with predefined error values (following one of the elegantExamples), see my script in attachment. My questions are the followi...

Re: machine correction, optimization and statistics
Thank you a lot, Michael, it worked.
Both the higher number of kicks in the magnets and the closure of the floor coordinates helped. I am now able to steer the orbit and close it down to (at least) 1e-8 accuracy, and with sextupoles at nominal setting.
Cheers,
S.
