sddsplot error
Dear all, My colleague uses a Linux computer and gave me a sddsfile from elegant to be used as an input file in my elegant program (PC cygwin). When I do a sddsquery, thinks looks fine. But when I fire a sddsplot command, I get the following error sddsplot filename -col=t,x results in warning:proble...

color coding particles and tracking
Dear Michael, How can I color code certain portion of the beam and track them with their color? My goal is the following: I want to split the bunch as "head"-red (33%), middle-white(33%), "tail"-green(33%) and I want to send the bunch through a bunch compressor and see how CSR affects each part of t...

Re: view3dgeometry
Dear Alexey, Thank you for your reply and concern. The problem I believe is that I am using RFDF element which the view3dgeometry (at least my understanding) does not take into account. I think it should be easy enough to add this given the clear structure of the program. I cross-checked this by cha...

view3dgeometry
Dear all, I have been playing with the view3dgeometry that comes with elegant. Have to say...pretty neat...I have some RF cavities in my simulation and when i run the command view3dgeometry with the floor file and showName ''*QUAD* *RF*" it complains that it does not understand *RF*? Is there a work...

Re: emittance and CSR optimization
For some reason, MATCH#1.ex and MATCH#1.ecx works. But not MATCH#1.enx ? Is this not in the list of optimization variables ? It will be nice to have this.

emittance and CSR optimization
Dear elegant folks, I have 3 deflecting cavities in a line (CAVON1CAVON,CAVON2). These three cavities are between two dogleg section. I want to use elegant for optimizing the phase and strength of these cavities such that it satisfies two conditions (i) difference between the outgoing emit x and inc...

SIGSEGVProgram - another case
Hello, I am getting Terminated by SIGSEGVProgram trace-back ....when i run the elegant code. The code uses a script - "Multislits.tcl" to simulate a transverse slit along the beam. When I run the code without this script, things are fine. And the script itself is fine when run with an input file. Bu...
