Re: double gaussian

Dear Michael, I have tried sddscombine with the merge option. But it does not seem to make any difference. I still get the same plot. I don't get what you see at XProbe. I tried to remove the merge option and it has the same result. I can post the files if you want...Is there anything else you want ...

Re: double gaussian

Dear Michael, When i execute: sddsplot -col=t,p A0_Xchgr.Xprobe i get the following, which is different from what you seem to have got? I dont understand what is going on? btw, what is the command you used to plot...(i like the plot!) regards, Charles

Re: double gaussian

Thank you michael. I generated the double pulse. I start with a momentum chirp on each of those "bunches" but when i go through the dogleg the modulation in z is not mapped onto x. I am attaching the file(s) for your perusal. Am I missing something? Seems to me the action in z-E and x-y are somehow ...

double gaussian

dear elegant folks,
I want to generate two Gaussian bunches with rms bunchlength (sigma1) and (sigma2) separated in time by delta_t. Is there a way to do this in elegant? This will be great for me.

Charles

beta minimization question

Dear all,
I have a RF section and a couple of quads in front of a double-dogleg section. My goal is to minimize the betax (i.e. find the waist) at the third dipole using the quads upstream and the RF chirp. What optimization term should i use in elegant to do this?

regards,
Charles

Re: tracking chirp

How is that quantity related to the momentum_chirp under bunched_beam?

Hi all,
How to plot chirp as a function of s, along the beamline?

Re: R-matrix question

That reply was much faster than my computer ! Thanks
when you set individual_matrices = 1, the mpr file has after every element a C row followed by the R matrix..What is this C row supposed to mean?

R-matrix question

Hello all, Imagine i have beamline ..say Q1 Q2 Q3.... Qn. where n is the number of quads. Now, I use elegant to calculate the overall R-matrix (.fin). Say, if i insert a skew quad somewhere along the beamline.. The lattice becomes Q1 Q2..... SK... Qn.. a] How to compute R-matrix for only that part o...
