Hello all,
I want to plot z-emittance as a function of s along the linac using sddsprocess. I have the output stored in *.s file.
I get confused between Ss and St. So, how do i plot the normalized longitudinal emittance along the linac? Thanks..
regards,
Charles

Re: plotting and scanning question
Dear Michael, It works very nicely! Thanks for pointing out the problem and solving it!! But i have a question on the colorbar. I would like to get higher resolution on the colorbar. i want a much finer control on the red region (see image attached). Atleast, i want more ticks in the red region of t...

plotting and scanning question
Hello Michael, I have a question in scanning and plotting. I want to vary two quads (say Q1 and Q2) before a chicane and plot the outgoing bunchlength as a 2D plot. I scanned two quads(Q1 and Q2) using vary_element and tracked the outgoing bunchlength e.g. &vary_element name=Q1, item=k1, initial=-20...

Re: Slits and GaussianFit
Dear Michael, First of all, many thanks for the script. I have been testing the script and i believe it is working. But to convince myself, I would like to plot the series of Gaussian with the calculated sigmas (from fitResults.sdds) on top of the actual projections. How can i do that? For sample: I...

Slits and GaussianFit
Dear Michael , I have a slit followed by a screen downstream. Let us say the slits are along y-axis. So, the beam image has vertical slices whose projection in x yields a series of Gaussian profile separated by some distance . "Goal": I want the rms of each of these Gaussians and the distance betwee...

Re: double gaussian
Dear Michael,
Can you please send me the bunch.sdds file? (that you generated on your machine). Thanks
regards,
Charles
[When i run the commands above i get a totally different plot]

Re: double gaussian
Dear Michael,
I have attached the files. The runScript runs and gives the plot we are looking for. Keeping my fingers crossed..

Charles
