Element ZTRANSVERSE
Hi Michael, I'm using elegant 33.0.2. I've found that the ZTRANSVERSE element doesn't work well when I use Pelegant to simulate the transverse single-bunch instability. The problem is that no output wake data and the beam moment data when I set {wakes="trwake.sdds"] in the ZTRANSVERSE element. Howev...

Re: the usage of RFMODE element
Hi Michael, Continue the previous question, I attach my scripts this time. The lattice file is lattice.lte. The script I run is Run_me.sh. As I mentioned above, I try to simulate the longitudinal coupled bunch instability driven by one HOM of the RF cavity. Theoretical calculation shows that the mos...

Re: the usage of RFMODE element
Hi Michael,
Thanks a lot for your quick reply and the comments!
I'll check out the runTemplate.ele file and the elements you mentioned.

the usage of RFMODE element
Hi Michael, It's Haisheng Xu. I'm trying to use elegant to simulate the longitudinal coupled-bunch instability driven by the HOMs of RF cavity. I try to use the RFMODE element to represent the HOM of RF cavity in the following way: RFM1 : RFMODE, FREQ=700.88e6, Q=1.4e5, Rs=3.25e6, bin_size=1e-12, n_...

Re: Ramping
Hi Michael, You mentioned once in one of the previous posts: "... Also, I suggest using first order tracking with SBEN's and SREFFECTS rather than CSBEN and elment-by-element radiation. Otherwise it is too slow. If you need more detailed dynamics, you can use ILMATRIX." This remind me that it may re...

Simulation of transverse multi-bunch instability using the LRWAKE element
To whom it may concern,
Hi!
Sorry that I've cleared the bug in my scripts. The error is because the input file for the LRWAKE element has all zero values. After generating the correct sdds file as input for LRWAKE, the scripts work properly.
Regards,
Haisheng

Re: DA_fma in a small ring
I remember that there is no one-line command which can be used to plot the pseudo-color figure. Let me try to look for the script I used.gwei wrote:How was the beautiful picture plotted? what kind of sddsplot command for these 3 line data

extract the row data from a SDDS data file
Hi Michael, Recently, I do error analysis to my design. I find that the data corresponding to different error sources are saved in different pages. How can I collect the data in the ith row at each page together using SDDS toolkit? I can't find a way to manipulate the data saved in a row. I attach a...

Re: How to add synchrotron motion in DA tracking
Thank you so much, Michael! Your explanation is quite clear and helpful! By the way, I find another strange thing when I use the file you modified. If I use the following command: elegant run.ele sddsplot run-001.w1 -col=Pass,Cdelta I find that the Cdelta is oscillating with amplitude about 10^-5. I...
