Dear Michael,
I found your prescriptions on how to use HIGH_frequency_cutoff in CSRCSBEND in this old post.
I wonder if you have any similar guidance for the LOW_frequency_cutoff, in the same element. I could not find any discussion about this option in the forum.
Thank you in advance. Best,
Simone

Re: Orbit distortion and beam energy
Dear all, I am quite confused about "&track" options for orbit and momentum. I understood that, to track stored particles in a ring, I should first verify that the closed orbit exists, then use center_on_orbit = 1. I cannot see any useful/realistic case in which to use center_on_orbit = 0. Maybe for...

Physical aperture
Dear Michael and all, I am now computing dynamic aperture and transverse acceptance of Elettra SR (Diamond team acknowledged). I am using at the same time elements like ECOL, UKICKMAP (in the .lte file) and &aperture_data (in the .ele file). First question: does the transverse grid (x,y), on which U...

moments_output: how to use with coupling
Hello everybody, I am a beginner with elegant for rings and I have questions about &moments_output. I understood the rf parameters have to be set properly in ordert to make &moments_output calculating the equilibrium emittances correctly (I am in the matched=1, equilibrium=1 and radiation=1 mode). T...

how to comment some lines
Hello to everybody, I would like to know if there is a faster way to comment some command lines in the .ele file than using a ! (exclamation point) at the beginning of each individual line. If not, a new elegant feature like inserting a &comment .... &endcomment option in the file could be extremely...

Re: Splitting linac
Dear Michael and collaborators, with reference to the email exchange we had recently, I would like to point out our conclusions and to receive confirmation from you of our understanding. Object of the study. During our study of the RF edge focusing in a linac, we compared the result of a very simple...

Re: Closed Orbit Correction Fails to Work
Hi Michael, thank you for the examples. I have applied your script to my lattice and I have found the source of the discrepancy. When I do not include errors on the BPM alignment, everything is fine (see attachment bpm_noerr.png). But, as I also include these errors, the elegant response in terms of...

Re: Closed Orbit Correction Fails to Work
Hi, I have run elegant to correct a trajectory along the linac. I am forcing elegant to correct in 1 iteration, 1 cycle (per plane). I have also asked elegant to produce the response matrices. Now, I want to apply the inverse resp. matrix to the uncorrected trajectory to find the correctors setting....

Re: Closed Orbit Correction Fails to Work
Hi Michael (and everybody), I am playing with the trajectory correction in a linac. I do not understand what elegant is doing with the module &correct, method="global", as I vary the number of BPMs and corectors. Could you please give me some indications? I guess that for the same number of BPMs and...
