Re: close orbit and response matrix when random error exist?
Chao, The coupled trajectory correction requires that only HMON and VMON elements are present in the beamline, so I converted your lattice. The attached files work for trajectory correction, but the tune correction isn't stable. Is this a ring that is strongly coupled, or a transport line? The coup...

close orbit and response matrix when random error exist?
Hi Michael, Recently, I am trying to evaluate the influence from random errors in our pertra4 lattice. The purpose of this study is to select lattices, with errors, which can insure beta-beating within 5%, coupling factor within 10%, and further used these selected lattices for DA and LMA tracking. ...

Re: Correction routine doesn't appear to handle coupling between X and Y
Dear all, Would like to learn more about the algorithm used currently in the &correct &end command. &correct mode = orbit, method = global, keep_largest_SVs[0] = 2*100, &end In the command list, I noticed there is a parameter keep_largest_SVs. Then I think this command specify the correcting scheme ...

Hi
Can the &correct &end command handle the coupling correction at this moment?
yours Chao

Re: nonlinear-map from trackin
Dear all,
I am trying to rebuild the nonlinear one turn-map from tracking. The attached is the script I am using.
Could please someone help me to confirm if I did it correct or not?
yours Chao

Re: nonlinear-map from trackin
It is all right. In stead of import *.paramer, file, the problem can be fixed with save_lattice command.

nonlinear-map from trackin
Hi, I am trying to get the non-linear one turn from from tracking. The script I am following is from elegant examples "ILMatrixFromTracking/" The attached files are what I am using right now. In current stage, only two steps are included. step 1, with the Basic.ele, the required chromaticity (5,5) i...

Re: Beam loading simulation of two active cavity system by RFMODE
Hi Michael Yes, I understand the reason to develop the pseudo-multi-bunch mode. If I understand it correctly, in this pseudo-multi-bunch mode, elegant tracking one bunch M times in one turn instead of tracking M bunches one by one per turn, is it? Then in this case, the bunch-by-bunch beam induced v...

Re: Beam loading simulation of two active cavity system by RFMODE
Hi Michael,
I am trying to do the simulation with the script you send to Yong-Chul.
Could you explain a little bit about the the difference between simulation with
"pseudo-multi bunch mode"?
why this "pseudo-multi bunch mode" can represent the bunch-by-bunch tracking?
yours Chao

Great thanks. I did not notice that in the mammal. It is very clear.
Thanks again
