Hi,
many thanks for your answer. I was doing a mistake and I realized it after writing you the question. Now I am confident of what I am doing thanks to your answer also.
Have a nice day,
Simona.

Wakefield
Good morning, I would like to simulate one bunch which excites a wakefield of a structure and a second bunch which sees the effect of this interaction and takes energy. Is this done in Elegant just putting the wakefield and the two sub-bunches in a unique file or have I to do something else? I wrote...

Re: Dynamic aperture with multipole error of dipole.
Hello, I have a question related to this. I want to add the multipoles calculated from a measured field map of dipoles in a chicane. I did the polynomial expansion around the reference trajectory for each z and I calculated some coefficients b_n defined from: B = 1/n!*(d^nB/dx^n)*x^n my coefficients...

Re: Laser heater simulations
Hi,
I think I fixed the problem. I was simply putting a very low value of power and I was not putting the waist of the laser spot. Now I have something which is generating a modulation which makes sense and everything seems fine.
Thanks in any case.

Laser heater simulations
Good morning, I am trying to simulate the effect of the laser heater, using the element LSRMDLTR. I am using as power of the laser values from 1e-4 up to 1e-3 W. The wavelength of the laser is about 1 um. My bunch length is about +-4 ps. In my distribution I have 5 millions particles for the moment....

elegant2astra conversion
Hi to all, I need to convert the output of Elegant to an input for Astra. I see there is the function elegant2astra, but when I try to use it: elegant2astra Run_Model.sdds Test.ini where Run_Model is my Elegant output. I get the message: "tmpname: Command not found." What should I do? Thanks for you...

Re: Microbunch instability simulation
Thanks for the very quick answer. I have another question... I run a scan over the wavelength and the amplitude for several number of particles. I put a the low pass filter in the simulation (0.20 and 0.25 parameters). For the output did you use a smoothing? sddsdigfilter? Do you suggest something b...
