Re: Implementation of bunch lengthning and transverse impedance
Dear Michael, Thanks for the help. I increase the number of particles from 150,000 to 1,500,000 and it worked:) as below: 10000turn.jpg Based on the result can I announce 0.5 mA as the threshold current? Also, I try to know how the beam behaves in MWI. For this, I plotted t,p from the watch file for...

Re: Implementation of bunch lengthning and transverse impedance
Thanks Michael. I will try your suggestion. I have another question, I have some kind of handle in the bunch length during tracking. Can we consider them as microwave instability and is it usual that they disappear after some turns? 1000 Turns with 2 mA currents 2_1000.png 4000 Turns with 2 mA curre...

Re: Implementation of bunch lengthning and transverse impedance
Dear Michael, Thanks for your help. Finally, I increased the impedance budget and the resistive wall effect to achieve the logical behavior. But there is a question based on the result as I don't have the continuous increase in the energy spread, can I say that 2(mA) is a threshold current? increase...

Re: Implementation of bunch lengthning and transverse impedance
Dear Michael and all, I try to simulate the microwave instability by tracking in Elegant but I can't find any logical result by changing the current from 0 to 6 mA. I used ZLONG by these parameters: Rs=0.8 (ohm), f=7MGH and Q=1. It seems that the tracking doesn't see any instability or I made a mist...

Beta Beating Correction in presence of errors
Dear all, I am doing optimization for the Elettra 2.0 lattice with MOGA in Elegant. I need to do beta beating correction after optimization and apply errors to compare the result with AT. I know there is a simplex method that matches the ref twiss function of bare lattice to perturbed ones, but it d...

Re: km2sdds
Dear Simona, Make sure that you are using the Radia and the the Mathematica notebook “RadiaToTrack” which is originally developed by the ESRF. The output .dat file of the programe easily convert to SDDS and you can use it in Elegant. See this page: https://www.esrf.fr/Accelerators/Groups/InsertionDe...

Re: MOGA optimizer for rings
Hello every body,
Do you have any idea about the algorithm which is used for sorting results in this MOGA example? Is it NSGA-II?
regards,
Sara

Re: Off-momentum DA
The example which is provided for off-momentum DA is fantastic and the Notebook file is really helpful. I just want to add a point that if you want to run the last step in the Notebook file, I mean postProcDA you should run the initial steps, I mean prepCase run4dDA run6dDA for more than two differe...

Off-momentum DA
Hello Michael and all, I want to track DA for off-momentum particles. I used the elegant example which is for off-momentum DA but I want to add some magnet errors, then I want to correct the orbit and close-orbit and finally track DA. I want to know should I increase the values like closed_orbit_acc...
