Hi All,
Needed some help trying to simulate a gaussian bunch with
Ss_initial=1.485751e-004
Ss_final~8e-006
I have attached the lte and ele files that I have been using/editing. ANy help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

How Does Elegant Calculate Dispersion {etax, etaxp}??
Hi All, I am wondering how Elegant goes about calculating the dispersion from a bedning magnet, namely CSRSBEN with or without some E1,E2? When designing chicane/doglegs, the dispersion never fully quite cancels and I am thinking it has something to do with a discrepancy between my equations (s^2/(2...

Re: Best way to scan through/Optimize Betax & Alphax?
Hi Michael,
I attached my .lte and .ele files. Tried to get it working on my own, but still need a little help so it seems...
I specifically want to minimize the ecnx at the exit of the chicane (BX24) by just varying the beta's and alpha's.
Thank you!

Best way to scan through/Optimize Betax & Alphax?
Hi All, I was wondering if there was a better method of optimizing the beta and alpha functions. I am basically trying to perform a 2D parameter scan at the entrance of 4-Dipole Chicane and optimize the emittance (ecnx) at the exit. Currently, I am running a script that goes through all the values, ...

Re: Using ÷_elements for CSRCSBEN?
Decided towards manually breaking up the bend into two pieces. I am still still slight fluctuations in the dispersion through out the system when I look at "etax". Wondering where I am going wrong here (if at all)? Dipoles Divided**********************************************************************...

Using ÷_elements for CSRCSBEN?
Hi All, I am having difficulty using the divide element command for dividing a BC dipole to study the optics and CSR within the bend. Reading through the Elegant user manual, it says this should be possible, but I'm not so sure where I am going wrong. Here is the command I am using BEFORE "&run_setu...

Re: How to scan Twiss Parameter?
I basically want to implement a "phaseshifter" at any point of the beamline, where I would be able to increase/decrease the PSIX by any amount without affecting the optics/matching. Exactly what the TWISS parameter scanning does, but for PSIX.

Re: How to scan Twiss Parameter?
Hi Michael,
I was wondering if there was a way to do a scan for PSIX (the phase advance)? I am currently using a input matrix file to do this, but the sddscollapse and .finc method that you use is so much cleaner.
Thanks in advance!
