Hello all,
I have some difficulties in DA tracking. I consider field harmonic error for quadrupole and dipole in my lattice, when I put tracking-mode in "many-particle" the DA has area but when I change the mode to "n-lines" DA becomes zero. Could it possible?
Thanks for your help,
Sara

Isochronous Mode
Hello, First of all, I'm so sorry if my question is elementry question. I want to computes optic and especially dispersion in Isochronous mode for ESR ring by ELEGANT. I change strength of quadrupoles and sextupoles in my lattice and check the dispersion but the result are different from the experim...

Re: Bunch shape evolution in presence of longitudinal wake potentials
Dear Alexey, Thanks for your perfect, straightforward and useful response. That was what I was already seeking for. I checked the attached file for calculating I. Actually, I am a bit confused with "sddshist" and "sddsprocess" commands. I couldn't understand how "sddshist" can calculate the frequenc...

Bunch shape evolution in presence of longitudinal wake potentials
Dear all, I intend to track the electron bunch in the longitudinal plane in the presence of wake potentials for calculating PWD. It is obvious that the bunch shape will have deviations from its initial Gaussian distribution when longitudinal wake potentials are added to the storage ring. I want to p...

Re: Dynamic aperture with multipole error of dipole.
Dear Michael I understand the problem. The problem was in the way that I put dipole error in the lattice. Thanks a lot for your help. cheers, Sara Sara, I'm very puzzled how beta-y could be zero. Can you provide set of files that show this? In answer to your question, there is no way to compute fiel...

Re: Dynamic aperture with multipole error of dipole.
Thanks Micheal to answer my question. Now I can calculate the Dynamic Aperture by considering quadrupoles and dipole error, But the beta-y become zero, when I remove the dipole error from my lattice the beta-y is not zero. I was thinking maybe it's because of considering dipole error as k1,k2,...? D...

Re: Dynamic aperture with multipole error of dipole.
Hello, I want to calculate DA in the presence of harmonic field error, I understand that the dipole error can be considered by k1,k2,k3... and quad and sextupoles error will be considered by sdds file. I have two question, Is it possible to calculate magnets error in ELEGANT? why the sdds file of ma...
