Re: scaling transfer matrix like in MAD8
of course... I think MAD made the assumption that for small energy deviations scaling eg the k-value of a quad is the same like changing the energy of the particle The scaling is implemented as following: k_quad => k_quad / (1+deltaE) and for a bend the implementation is done a little bit more compl...

scaling transfer matrix like in MAD8
Hi Micheal,
is there a way to scale the transfer matrix
like the MAD8 way using the deltaP parameter?
Best, Johann

Re: transverse wake implementation
Hi Michael, my wake field is splitted in the coordinates Gi(t) separately. But I do not want to decompose my transverse field into a dipolar and a quadrupolar field etc. I like to apply my however looking field gradient to the beam. Am I right that I have to switch on both X_DRIVE_EXPONENT=1 and X_P...

Re: transverse wake implementation
Hi Michael, once again a question about transverse wake field implementation. I have a question about how the field is applied to the particles. Let's assume I have a Green's function for my problem in units [V/C/m] for both planes x,y. I do not like evolve the field into dipole and quadrupole like ...

transverse wake implementation
Hello, I have a question concerning the implementation of transverse wake fields. I like to simulate a corrugated structure consisting of two jaws (like the LCLS1 type). How an off axis particle is treated? I was asked if on an off axis particle acts a gradient and an extra kick due to the structure...

I 've tried it but I did something wrong
Now it works thanks

change charge in the elegant runfile
Hi,
I like to track particle disrtibutions with different charges.
I know the way to change the charge in my lattice file (.lte).
But I like to have one lattice file (.lte) and change everything else in the run definition file (.ele).
Is there a way to do this?
Cheers, Johann
