Michael,
BINGO, worked like a charm. Thanks for your help.

Michael,
It is pratically unchanged.

Re: modulate_elements
Michael,
The modulation is not on the RF, it is still on the quadrupoles. I am just adding in the RF to the dynamics.

Re: modulate_elements
Michael, I _may_ have found another bug in Modulate_elements. Attached is a demo which saws the possible bug. It is similar to the previous example except that now I turn on the RF system. When I turn on the RF, there are two things I see: 1) for modulate elements, I need to have negative times in m...

Re: modulate_elements
Michael,
I gave all of the elements names like QF01, QF02, etc. Then I tried the QF0? trick. That did not work, either giving me a SegV or another error. But if I give a separate &modulate_elements for each QF, then it is golden.
Thanks for the help/hack.

Re: modulate_elements
Michael, Correct. But you will notice that it is different than the lattice file. The lattice is set to a tune of 9.64. The Tester.ele adjusts the tunes of the lattice to 9.751 and then tracks. The other file sets the quads to the values with should give a tune of 9.751 and then tracks. I'd expect t...

Re: modulate_elements
Michael,
I tried that with version 25.0.2 and it did not work. So I upgraded to 25.1, and it still did not work.

modulate_elements
Michael, I am attempting to do a simulation where I vary quadrupoles with time while tracking particles. I am using modulate_elements to vary the quadrupoles. I does not seem to be working however. Attached is the lattice file and a file called Tester.ele. Tester.ele produces the results that I expe...

Re: MapSolenoid
Michael, Thanks. Now I'm trying to get that file to work and I get "****Error: determineMatrix called for element that is not supported! ***Seek professional help!" Attached are my files..... Just tracking through Solenoid.sdds do see that I can get everything else correct.... This is not the first ...
