Hi Michael and collaborators,
is there a way to plot x-x' at each pass of a ring (Poincare` plot) indicating the point with the Pass number rather than a symbol or dot ?
Best regards, Max

bpm_noise and response matrix
Dear Michael and collaborators, I am simulating a measurement of the response matrix with bpm noise. I use the following instructions: &correct mode = trajectory bpm_noise[0] = 0.00001,0.00001, trajectory_output = "%s.traj" corrector_tweek[0]=0.00003,0.00003 &end &correction_matrix_output output_at_...

Replace and exclude
Dear Michael and collaborators,
I do I exclude more than one element (BPM_3 and BPM_5) name in the following:
&replace_elements
name = BPM_*
exclude = "BPM_3 BPM_5"
&end
The above (and other variants I have tried) does not seem to work.
Thanks, Max

trajectory response matrix optimization
Dear Michael and collaborators,
I seem to remember reading that the most recent Elegant version allows response matrix optimization for trajectories.
Am I right ?
Thanks, Max

Extracting particleID coordinates
Dear Michael and collaborators, I am running Elegant with the space charge option. I was wondering about the best way to pick a particle in a bunch in order to fft it to compute its incoherent tune shift. Is there a clever way to do it ? I notice that the element WATCH has a "fft" mode. What does it...

Re: divide and inserting elements
Dear Michael,
in that case, I am sure I am doing something wrong...
I attach two .ele files (divided and undivided dipoles) and the .lte file.
I find:
divided dipoles: nux=6.739, nuy=6.845
undivided dipoles: nux=7.356,nuy=6.519
Thanks a lot,
Max

divide and inserting elements
Hi Michael and collaborators, are you aware of an optics problem when splitting SBEN in 2 sections with divide_elements and inserting another element (a kicker of zero length and strength) in between the 2 sections (insert_elements) ? The tunes seem to change when I do that, as compared to not split...
