OCTU element K3 unit
HI Michael,
for the OCTU element, in the text book, the unit of K3 is 1/m^4. In the Elegant manual, it says the unit is 1/m^3. So here the K3 means K3*L, or the unit has a typo?
thanks,
Yuantao Ding

Re: problem with version 31 rhel6, openmpi
HI Bob, yes, my openmpi version is mpiexec (OpenRTE) 1.8.1. I think that's the problem. while I am trying to build rpms with Build-AOP-RPMs, I didn't succeed. I attached the error file in case you have a quick solution. Otherwise, I am wondering probably it is a faster way if you can build an elegan...

problem with version 31 rhel6, openmpi
HI Bob, I installed elegant version 31.0, at our cluster with rhel6 openmpi x86_64 system. I downloaded the rpm file and installation went well. Then when I run Pelegant, always have Segmentation fault. I attached the log file in case you need it. Elegant works but the parallel version Pelegant does...

Re: feature to read in 3D field map for dipoles?
Michael,
also this bug (https://www.aps.anl.gov/Accelerator_Sys ... f=19&t=692) seems not fixed yet in my 30.1 version. Hopefully it will be also included in the next release together with the 3D field map fixing.

feature to read in 3D field map for dipoles?
Hi Michael,
Yunhai is asking about a feature to read the 3D field map for dipoles. So is it already in the 30.1 version, or is it a special version not released yet? How possible he could use it?
thanks,
Yuantao

“watch” element the Charge parameter is scaled if using Fraction
Hi Michael, For the WATCH element, if I define the Fraction=0.1, the Charge parameter in the dumped file will be scaled by the Fraction. this is not correct. For example, with 10 M particles, 100pC, I only want to dump 1M particles, but the parameter Charge value in the files should be still 100pC, ...
