dipole fringe field
Dear All, Concerning the setting of the dipole fringe field, I feel a little confused with the documentation. The doc reads that EDGE_ORDER is ignored for EDGE1_EFFECTS = 3 or 4. This is not the case. - it seems that that EDGEORDER need to be set to at least 2 in order to profit from the options EDG...

Re: tuneshift with energy: tracking versus using twissparameters
Finally I have got the point, looking directly at the phase space.
The RF cavity was defined twice.
The tracking was performed in 6D with a cavity instead of 4D.

Re: tuneshift with energy: tracking versus using twissparameters
Dear Michael, Thank you for the suggestion. I already did some studies playing with the number of slices and the integrator order. There is no major effect. The converge is slightly improved but at the margin. Frequency map are very similar. I post for you information the tune shift by tracking with...

Re: tuneshift with energy: tracking versus using twissparameters
Somehow, I was not able to join the script in the previous post.
by tracking using Michael script for the variation of the Twiss parameter with energy.

tuneshift with energy: tracking versus using twissparameters
Dear All, When I compute the tune shift with energy by tracking I am not able to reproduce the results obtained using the variation of the twiss parameter with energy I have joined two scripts: offMomentumTwiss.tgz: Twiss parameters with energy (from Michael) runScan collateScan nux_vs_energy.png nu...

Re: frequency_map around closed orbit
Thanks, this is really helping.

tuneshift with energy using Pelegant
Dear All, I would like to compute the tuneshift with energy for case of a storage ring. The computation is for a single particle. Is there a way to compute using parallel computation. Let us say I do track over 10000 turns, for 100 energy offset. Using 100 cores, each core do the computation for an ...

Tracking: PElegant blocked
Dear All, I am running a simple script to compute the dynamic aperture. The behavior between Elegant and Pelegant is not the same. The command is fine elegant evalTemplate.ele -macro=rootname=mytest,turns=10 The command blocks mpirun -n 2 Pelegant evalTemplate.ele -macro=rootname=mytest,turns=10 The...
