Re: RFDF R56
I would like to correct my previous message. I am able to get identical results from a SW with proper length (multiple of the RF wavelength) and from a TW. However, when using SW, I get the expected result if N_KICKS=1. For any other vaue of N_KICKS, I get something different and unexpected. This se...
Re: RFDF R56
Hello, I am using the RFDF element for simulating crab cavities in an electron ring at 2.4 GeV. As already observed and discussed by others, but with different parameters, I obtain a substantially different result for the following two sets (just a zero-length and a non-zero length standing wave): R...

Re: &correct does not work
Dear Michael, another step forward. I would like to thread the beam first through the ring (&correct in trajectory mode and thread method), then refine the correction (&correct in orbit mode and global method). However, the thread mode does not save the corrector strengths, from which I would like t...

Re: Combined function magnets?
I add a very basic question to this topic. I verified that a dipole (SBEND with edge angles to make it RBEND, for example) with nonzero K1 behaves as a dipole+integrated quadrupole, where the quadrupole focusing happens to be in both transverse planes (neglect focusing from edges at this stage). Que...

Re: &correct does not work
Correct Michael, &correct now works as expectd after installation of the very latest release of Elegant.
Many thanks for the check.

Re: &correct does not work
Thank you Michael for looking to this. I tried, but with no success. I am still not totally convinced: all files I have, now present the same problem, and I am pretty sure they worked before I installed the very last release. If you find the time, please also look to this linac lattice, for example....

&correct does not work
Dear Michael and everybody, I am running an MBA lattice with the very latest version of Elegant. Problem 1: &correct does not produce outputs and the program stops without errors or warnings. Only mode=trajectory + method=thread produces outputs (but correctors strengths are not saved). Please notic...

Re: intrabeam scattering with IBSCATTER
Dear all, I am asking a very similar question of Tiansk: the agreement of ibsEmittance and tracking results on the horizontal emittance is fine. Instead, tracking does not reproduce the vertical emittance growth predicted by ibsEmittance. I also tried to include coupling sources in the lattice throu...

Laser-slicing on successive turns
Hello,
I am using LSRMDLTR element for simulating laser-slicing in a ring.
I would like to track particles for few turns, but disabling the LSRMDLTR element every N-turns.
Is there any simple way of doing it?
Thank you in advance,
S.
