I solved the issue. It was simply a wakefield file which was defined in a small range of time. All good.
Kind regards,
Simona.

Charge studies
Dear all, I would like to simulate the change of the beam parameters when I vary the charge of the machine having RF structures, a compressor, and other structures. I optimized 3 linacs (L1, L2, HE) in cascade, each of them with some difference (at least in the previous phase of the design), and at ...

Re: TRWAKE on the beam
Michael,
all clear. Many thanks for your explanation.
I meant that the offset of the beam (with respect to the RF cavity) is used to compute the kick that (at this point) each slice gets. I badly expressed myself.
Thanks also for the very prompt reply, and have a nice day.

TRWAKE on the beam
Dear all, I have a general question concerning the computation of the effect of the wakefield on the beam. I am presently running some simulations misaligning elements along a linac. I am comparing the results with another code, which is giving more pessimistic results. A possibility pointed out by ...

Re: dynamic aperture after insert a wiggler
Dear Samira, I am not really an expert in the topic, but when I tried to do the same with a collegue using another code (only now I am trying with Elegant), we noticed that the quadrupole induced by the wiggler modified the optics, and the DA was strongly reduced. We rematched using the quadrupoles ...

km2sdds
Dear all, I am trying to use the function km2dds to compute the kick map from an undulator for the element UKICKMAP. If I want to build the kick map by myself it is clear that I have to generate a file which has (x,y,kickX,kickY) columns, because kickX and kickY will be two scalars for each couple (...

Extraction data multi-bunch
Dear moderators, I am trying to simulate a multi-bunch. I used this: &sdds_beam input = "distr_matched_ok.sdds", input_type = "elegant", center_arrival_time = 1, sample_interval = 5, reuse_bunch = 0, fiducialization_bunch = 0, !I phase with respect to the first bunch n_duplicates = 1, ! I duplicate ...
