Michael
Thank you very much for your reply and clarifying about the phase reference. Tracking is now working with optimized files.
Regards,
Amal.

Twiss failure and tracking errors using cell-by-cell TWLA with solenoids
Hello, I am new in Linac simulation using Elegant, and I am facing difficulty in the simulation of TW linac. I am attempting to model first two sections of an electron Linac in Elegant to obtain Twiss parameters and perform beam tracking. The setup is following: (1) Sub-harmonic buncher: 499.75 MHz....

Re: SR loss per turn with momentum offset
Michael,
Thanks for clarifying the doubt. By commenting the statement, results from the code and formulation are closer. In fact, now output from the code has slightly lesser nonlinear effect (not much different) compared to the formulation.
Thanks again,
Amal.

Re: SR loss per turn with momentum offset
I obtained SR loss per turn with energy off-set using Elegant, as you described. The files .lte and .ele are attached here for your reference. I also computed same function using analytical formula up to second order in energy off-set. There is a discrepancy in both the results, which I could not un...

SR loss per turn with momentum offset
I want to compute the SR loss per turn in an electron storage ring with fractional offset in the momentum. For this, I defined an element of type "malign" and then "vary_element" with item as dp, followed by "twiss_output". However, it did not work. How I can obtain this loss as a function of moment...

CSR effects from tracking
Hello, I am studying a line for looking the effect on bunch length with CSR and without CSR. In this line, R56 is set to -0.25m and a chirped beam (chirping 0.4 is used). The initial bunch length is 8 ps. Bunch is tracked once with CSR is ON (Bins=500, Particles=500000) through lattice file "TL2_pr5...

Re: Help in tracking with CSR
Dear Sir, I am thankfull for your reply. It worked well..... When I increase the N_KICKS, does programme generates bunch length and wake field in *.wke files after each kick i.e. I think magnet is simulated like ---DRIFT-KICK1-DRIFT-KICK2-DRIFT-KICK3-......KICKn-DRIFT and on each kick (for N_KICKS=n...

Re: Help in tracking with CSR
Dear Sir, I am attaching .ele and .lte file and also .fin file generated by programme. All the .wke files are bigger in size ( more than 100 kB), so I did not attache those files. Perhaps at somewhere I am making some mistake but could not pin point it......... (I am running programme on Windows-7)....
