Re: beam size

Dear Michael,

Now it is working. However when I add some skew quads in my lattice I got the same vertical beam size. What is wrong in your opinion?

Many thanks and best regards,
Samira

beam size

Hello Michael,

I tried to calculate beam size for my ring but variation of the beam size is not small along the ring. Could you please take a look to my files?

Thanks alot and best regards,
Samira

Lifetime calculation with an ID in the ring

Dear Michael,

I wanted to calculate touschek lifetime in the presence of an Id in my ring. While I wanted to calculate momentum aperture I got an error.
Error: No survivor found for initial scan for W0 #1 at s=0.000000e+00m

can you take a look to my files?

Many thanks in advance,
Samira

Re: FM

Dear Michael,

I had a basic question.
Concerning frequency map analysis, when do we introduce these parameters: delta_min, delta_max and ndelta?

Many thanks for your reply,

Re: Transverse phase space

Dear Michael, Many thanks for reply. I have three questions. I do appreciate if you answer me. Why did you choose line distribution for the beam ? If I set center_on_orbit to zero I don't see any difference in the results. I am going to plot x-y space also, How can I do it? Many thanks and best rega...

Transverse phase space

Dear Michael,

I wanted to plot transverse phase space for 1000 particle tracking. I did track and I introduced watch elements. I need to plot a profile as it is in the attached file.
can you give me some hints?

Best regards,
Samira

Dear Michael,

I calculated DA and FMA for a bare lattice and lattice with ID.
But I found DA is increased after adding ID! What is wrong in my calculation?
I attached my files. I do appreciate if you can take a look to my files.

Re: dynamic aperture after insert a wiggler

Dear Michael,

I tried with twice values with Elegant and I got the same chromaticity as yours. but our storage ring is operating at the chromaticity of 6 and 7 with sextupole gradients of 10.98 and -16.57.

I do appreciate all of your answers in this issue,
samira
