How to change the KQUAD from K1 to pole tip field?
Dear Elegant experts, In accelerator design with beam energy changing, the K1 setting of quadrupole is very convenient for matching, but sometimes we need to fix the pole tip field of the quadrupole magnet. If we want to change the K1 value to the pole tip field after matching with K1, we can calcul...

Re: Big difference results between KQUAD and QUAD
Hi Michael,
Thanks very much! It does work after increasing the value "N_KICKS".
Best regards,

Big difference results between KQUAD and QUAD
Dear Elegant experts, when I designed an achromatic lattice, there are big difference results between KQUAD and QUAD lattice with "default_order=3". Although, two lattice have same "etay" (*.twi) , the simulation results with QUAD-lattice looks good, but the simulation results with KQUAD-lattice sho...

Is it possible add "group" into "error_element"?
Hi Michael, In some case, one wants to add one error to a group, so is it possible add "group" into "error_element"? For example, the power supply error of one group power supply, misalignment of one girder. I have tried the example "NSLS-II-GirderMisalignment" and it's no problem. However, if the "...

Why are particle lost in "TAPERAPE"
Hi Michael,
When i use "TAPERAPE" as the aperture element, it's not clear why the particle lost in "TAPERAPE". Attached the files. Could you check and give some suggestion? Thank you!
Best regards,
Cai

Re: About the parameters of CSBEND
Dear Michael,
I have tried different versions, the elegant-2020.2 have this difference, as you said, this is a new parameter.
Best regards,
Cai

About the parameters of CSBEND
Dear Michael,
For the parameter file (& run_setup parameters=%s.para), there are 73 and 74 parameters of CSBEND without and with "&error_element" command (even without CSBEND errors). The difference is ETILT_SIGN. Is there some different in this two case?
Thanks in advance!
Best wishes,
Cai

About the aperture_data
Dear Michael,
I introduce aperture of lattice by the "aperture_data ", the aperture shape seems only is rectangle, ellipse is possible with the "aperture_data"? Thank you very much!
Best regards,
Cai
