Dear Alexey,
thank you very much for this useful example, I managed to run it on my windows machine.
It will be really helpful.
Edit: the python approach seems really interesting, thanks! I'll try to implement something similar.
My best wishes,
Marcello Rossetti Conti

Re: Local coordinates for 3D beamline layout
Dear Michael and Alexey, I would be really interested in the 3D Layout script you posted years ago. Unfortunately I can't download it from here nor find a link somewhere else, is it still possible to use it in order to display the beam-lines? Or maybe there are other solutions? Thanks in advance, Ma...

Re: Unexpected phase space alteration with smoothDist6s
Michael, I just double-checked the behavior of the fix with the second beamfile I posted initially (because the bunch seemed to be already centered in t=0). In that case the fix doesn't work, could it be because of the higher average energy of the particles? The original beamfile is the following (i...

Re: Unexpected phase space alteration with smoothDist6s
Dear Michael,
thank you for your fast reply.
I repeated the procedure with your attached file everything seems to work fine, I see the same result you showed me.
Can you, please, try to repeat the procedure with my beam file?
Thanks!

Unexpected phase space alteration with smoothDist6s
Dear all, I would like to perform a CSR evaluation in a dispersive path, I start from a 200k particles beamfile and I would like to increase the number of particles with smoothDist6s. The problem is that I noticed that the output file shows a different distribution in the longitudinal phase space an...

Re: Strange dispersion calculation
Michael, Thank you very much for your suggestion, with this flag I can finally start the optimization! Unfortunately I'm facing a new strange behavior of the optimization process now: I used both "simplex" and "randomwalk" method to minimize the final beam emittances, the program now is able to comp...
