Re: Using sddsurgent to calculate undulator radiation

Thank you! At least I know it is not due to my pc. In case it matters: Also the last release, elegant 23.1.2 suffers from the same problem.

Best regards,
Sven

Re: Using sddsurgent to calculate undulator radiation

Hello Michael, I just copied the wrong part, of course I used the twiss file. Today I tried sddsfluxcurve, and also this crashed like the sddsurgent with the standard windows error. I tried the following: sddsfluxcurve OTR1SFUND1.twi OTR1SFUND1.rad -harmonics=3 -undulator=period=0.015,numberOfPeriod...

Re: Using sddsurgent to calculate undulator radiation

Thanks for your fast response - this error is gone. But now occurs another one: When executing the following command: sddsurgent OTR1SFUND1.twi OTR1SFUND1.spec -calculation=mode=5,method=1 -undulator=period=0.015,numberOfPeriods=127,kx=0,ky=2.83 -electronBeam=current=0.1 -emittanceRatio=1 Then the s...

Using sddsurgent to calculate undulator radiation

Hello, I wanted to calculate the integrated spectrum in one of the undulators we use here. So I tried sddsurgent and it did not work. Even calling just "sddsurgent" did produce a error message: "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Program: C:\Program Files\APS\Elegant\sddsurgent.exe R6034 An applic...

Re: Title for all subplots?

Thanks for the fast response. The "reference_file" command was exactly what I was looking for - I just didn't find it in the manual. A global title option might be worth to be integrated. Right now I am using IrfanViev to make annotations inside the file - it works also well. Thanks again, best rega...

Title for all subplots?

Hello, I am plotting some data using the sddsplot -layout=2,2 etc. command. I was wondering if there was something like a "global title", like one line above all of the subplots, with a width of the whole plot area. Is there any simple option to do this? And another question: How can I tell elegant ...

Re: What is the column "ParticelID" good for?

I figured out what was wrong: My computer had some difficulties with the region-settings, so he added dots, commas and ;s everywere. Now everything is right. When I displayed the figures, I saw my Excel messed it up. Now everything is fine.

But thanks for your fast help!

What is the column "ParticelID" good for?

I just read the complete manuals of elegant and SDDStoolkit, but couldn't find an answer, the expression "ParticleID" couldn't even be found. My question is: What does the column "ParticleID" tell me? It seems to contain continuous numbers, but this order is interrupted now and then by huge numbers ...
