Hi Michael,
Thank you for your help with this issue and the explenation. It was very easy for me to give the FMULT elements a non-zero length and remove a corresponding length from the drift element. I now get the correct integer tune.
Thanks again,
Ward

Issue with integer tune
Hello All, I am tinkering with a simple model for the second field integrals of an insertion device. I perform two kicks using FMULT, one at each end of the the device. The model is (kick, drift, counter-kick). When I do this, I find that elegant is calculating an integer tune that is 1 integer high...

Re: Version 35.0.1 writing .sdds files
That appears to have fixed the problem. I re-ran the simple tracking example that I had attached to the previous post and it worked. I then calculated a frequency map using Pelegant and it also worked. So, I am 2 for 2 this morning.
Thank you for your help.
Cheers,
Ward

Re: Version 35.0.1 writing .sdds files
This should be the Pelegant version I compiled today (March 30) and linked to mpich. Below is the (truncated) startup information for Pelegant. Re: Version 35.0.1 writing .sdds files
Hello All, I am also seeing this issue with version 2020.02.0. I have tried both the pre-built RPMs from the APS website and also RPMs built locally on my machine using Build-AOP-RPMs script. I have attached my example files where I compare the output of elegant and Pelegant. In Pelegant, the output...

Running find_aperture with an off-momentum particle
Hello All,
Is it possible to run find_aperture with an off-momentum particle?

Re: Elegant Optimization Convergence Problems
Hello All, So, I seem to have solved this particular convergence issue by changing the lines tolerance = 1e-12, n_evaluations = 500, to tolerance = 1e-26, n_evaluations = 5000, in the optimization_setup command. It seems that I am allowing more evaluations before forcing the next pass by changing n_...

Elegant Optimization Convergence Problems
Hello Michael and All the Good People, Recently I have been evaluating elegant for use at the Canadian Light Source. Until now we have primarily used the DIMAD code with some limited use of AT. One major drive for evaluating elegant is the ability to import RADIA generated kickmaps into the lattice....
