So, it looks like we should use a zero-length MONI and then DRIF elements on either side to represent the actual BPM can.

MONI question - beam position monitor
For a MONI element, where along its length L are the x and y positions assumed to be? The MAD documentation states for a BPM of non-zero length L, the beam position is taken to be at the center of the element (L/2). Does this remain true for elegant?
