Dear Michael,
In my case, I use CSBEND with non-zero k1 and k2. I guess probably it is the reason.
BTW, is there any example of off momentum particle DA study? I would like to check the particle behavior with +-3% energy difference. Thanks a lot!
Best wishes,
Chinchi

Re: Tracking for DA study
Dear Michael, Just to express my question more clearly. Since "csbend" is canonical, it seems to me "csbend will get more correct estimation in anyway, small and big rings, is it right? When I did the DA study, my results with "sbend" is more close to AT results but DA is x direction is only about 4...

Re: Tracking for DA study
Dear Michael,
May I ask what is the difference between "CSBEND" and "SBEND"?

Re: Tracking for DA study
Dear Michael,
Thanks a lot for!
I have one more question. For the dynamic aperature, shall we set the order to be two? If yes, it looks to me that the model elegant used for tracking and dynamical aperature calcualtion is different, is it true?
Best wishes,
Chinchi

Re: Tracking for DA study
Dear Michael, In your example, there are two lines in run_set: ---------------------------------------------------- default_order = 1, concat_order =1 ---------------------------------------------------- What does this "order" mean for? As I know, the default order is 2, why we should set 1 for the ...

Re: problem with CSBEND
Hi,
I have one more question. When I set FINT=0.0 for my CSBEND, the parameters in the twiss file is not change. It seems strange. Is there any related parameters I should deal with also?
Thanks again.

Re: problem with CSBEND
Dear Michael,
Thanks a lot! Actually, I am using CSBEND as a combined quadrupole and sextuple.
QF1: CSBEND, L=0.15, ANGLE=0.0, K1=1.126772404841, &
K2=2.575468751638, FINT=0.0
Is it possible due to including quadrupole and sextupole components?
Best wishes,
Chinchi

problem with CSBEND
Hi,
Recently, I met a problem with CSBEND. When I set the bending angle "ANGLE=0.0", it seems elegant can't calculate the betatron tune. Does anyone have comment on this? Thanks.

Dear Michael, Thanks a lot. I have one follow up question. In "parTrack.ele", the way to vary parameters is --------------------------------------------------------------------- &vary_element name=mal, item=dx, initial=1e-2, final=6e-2, index_number=0, index_limit=6 &end ----------------------------...
