TTF: Past, Present and Future

After a period of TESLA studies, the TTF-FEL has started a run for optimizing SASE and first user experiments. In this talk, a number of results will be presented. In addition, short and long term future plans and changes towards a dedicated user facility in the wavelength range from 6 to 60 nm will be discussed.
