March 3, 2004 Dear Potential Exhibitor, We'd like to invite you to join us as an exhibitor for the first-ever users meeting for Argonne's new Center for Nanoscale Materials (CNM), which will be held at the Advanced Photon Source Conference Center at Argonne National Laboratory all day Monday, May 3, 2004, in the Building 401 Conference Center. The CNM is one of five Nanoscale Science Research Centers established by the U.S. Department of Energy to promote fabrication of nanoscale materials for the advancement of science and technology. Preliminary plans call for the construction of a two-story, 83,000 gross-square-foot structure adjoining the west side of the APS experiment hall. The CNM user meeting will include two scientific sessions on Monday (morning and afternoon) followed by a two-hour wine and cheese reception, sponsored by Blake Instruments. A meeting banquet will follow. Workshops on Tuesday, May 4 will be open to participants of both the CNM Meeting and the APS User Meeting (which is being held May 4-6). Details about the meetings' schedules can be found in Comprehensive Meeting Program at http://www.aps.anl.gov/conferences/2004um/program.htm. The APS user community grew by over 1000 new users in FY 2003, and the trend shows no signs of slowing. We expect that this meeting will offer you not only a chance to participate in the inaugural meeting of the Center for Nanoscale Materials but also an excellent opportunity to meet with a wide range of researchers and scientists in a variety of scientific disciplines. We are offering three options for participating in the first CNM Users Meeting as an exhibitor: (1) Full participation as a vendor for both meetings for the same cost as APS Users Meeting vendors (The $1500 exhibitor registration fee covers two exhibit attendees and includes the following: the meeting registration fee, morning and afternoon refreshment breaks and lunches for three days, and tickets to the APS conference banquet, Please remember that space is assigned on a first-registered, first-served basis. A completed registration form and full payment must be received by April 1, 2004, to ensure reservation of your desired location. Please send any questions to vendor@aps.anl.gov. We're looking forward to hearing from you! |
