Guidelines for Submitting Electronic
Files |
1 DEADLINES
In all cases, a hardcopy of your paper(s) should have been submitted
to the LANL Workshop Staff for use in preparing the proceedings. If you
did not have the opportunity to do so during the workshop, please mail
one good-quality copy (master) as soon as possible to

The proceedings will be mailed out to all worskhop registrants. Proceedings
may also be obtained by request from either co-chair (macek@lanl.gov
or harkay@aps.anl.gov).
For wider dissemination of information, please also submit your paper(s)
electronically. This is optional but highly encouraged. Papers will be
posted on the workshop page as they arrive and are processed. For timeliness,
we ask that you submit them by April 7, 2000.
2 SUBMISSION OF ELECTRONIC FILES
3.1 General Checklist and File Naming Conventions

Prepare a PDF, PostScript, or native wordprocessor file of the paper.

For cross-platform compatibility, the file extension should have 3 or fewer
characters.

Files should be named according to the author's name + number (if
more than one), e.g. harkay1.pdf.

File formats, in order of preference:
nameN.ps - the PostScript file
native wordprocessor files (e.g.):
nameN.doc - MS WORD source
file
nameN.tex - LaTeX document (use Type 1 Times Roman font, if possible)
nameN.ppt - PowerPoint,
etc

Hand-written slides may be scanned and saved in one of the formats above.
It is preferred that you do the scanning; for assistance, please contact
harkay@aps.anl.gov.
3.3 Submission by FTP
You can send (upload) files to the ICFA Two-Stream server via
anonymous FTP. Please send an e-mail message to cee@ aps.anl.gov
informing us that the files were sent.

Unix/PC users should do the following:

Change directory to icfa2000, subdirectory 2stream (cd
icfa2000/2stream)

Type pwd to verify you are in the correct directory

Set mode to binary (type bin) and put your files

MAC users with fetch should do the following:
-
When you have connected to the server, open the appropriate folder - icfa2000/2stream
-
Put the files using binary mode
-
MAC users with older versions of fetch may also need to do the following:
-
Correct the file name if an additional extension is proposed
-
In the second window select Text as the format for the PostScript
file
