Performing Measurements with SPECTRA

The program package SPECTRA is used at the beamlines of HASYLAB for data acquisition and on-line control. It runs on Unix and VMS hosts, accessing the experiments via CAMAC or the VME bus. A general description has been presented at the NOBUGS 95 Workshop.This talk explains how measurements are being setup and performed. Tools are described that support the alignment of the beamline components, the monochromators and the diffractometer. Examples for typical measurements are presented.
