4th Generation Light Source Alignment Issues

Abstract:

An overview description of what a 4th generation light source might look like will be given along with a comparison of its performance to that of existing 3rd generation light sources such as the APS. Estimates of the required alignment tolerances for the beam focusing elements, accelerating structures, undulators, and diagnostics which constitute a 4th generation light source will be presented.
