PEP-II Alignment

Abstract:

The high energy ring (HER) and both high energy and low energy injectors are now complete. The TC2002 total station was used for everything from bolt pattern layout to 3D magnet positioning. The TC2002 has freed us from forced centering and all alignment procedures were done in free-stationing mode. The CMS 3000 laser tracker was used to fiducialize 300 quadrupoles, and to simultaneously perform a ring network and quadrupole map. An overview of alignment procedures and results will be presented.
